"Les Jeux Olympiques" New Issue

"Les Jeux Olympiques" New Issue

The third issue of Tennis In Photographs is here! Following our last two issues, it was time to focus on another historic moment for tennis: the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics at Roland-Garros. The Games highlighted some of the most central stories of the season, including:

  • Novak Djokovic getting his long-awaited gold medal
  • Rafael Nadal teaming up with Carlos Alcaraz for doubles (and having a last professional match with Djokovic)
  • Zheng Qinwen and Tokito Oda winning gold medals on their debuts
  • Andy Murray and Angelique Kerber retiring from tennis at the Games

...And so much more. The new issue is titled "Les Jeux Olympiques" and has a poetic introduction written by French author Bastien Fachan. Photographs were taken by the likes of Geoff Lowe, who created memorable collages for the Games in real-time, and José Luis Pérez, who captured our viral cover image of Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz fist-pumping in unison. We also incorporated beautiful images by previous Tennis In Photographs contributors, Antoine Couvercelle and Corinne Dubreuil.

Featured tennis players include Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Angelique Kerber, Zheng Qinwen, Matthew Ebden, John Peers, Jasmine Paolini, Sara Errani, Kateřina Siniaková, Tomáš Macháč, Tokito Oda, Yui Kamiji, Manami Tanaka, Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, Niels Vink, and Sam Schroder.

The "spirit of the games" thrilled us beyond measure this year, and it proved tennis' eternal connection to the Olympics and Paralympics. We hope you'll consider purchasing or gifting copies of "Les Jeux Olympiques."
