"Les Jeux Olympiques" Booklet
The third of a new publication series focused on precious and pivotal moments at the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. The issue chronicles the legends and champions of the Games, where tennis was played on clay at the iconic Stade Roland-Garros in Paris.
The cover depicts Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, who made it to the doubles quarterfinals in their team debut. The photo of them fist-pumping in unison went viral, emphasizing generational exchange and timeless passion for the sport. Following Nadal’s official retirement announcement, their matches represent the last time that the 14-time French Open champion competed at Roland-Garros.
Featured tennis players include Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Angelique Kerber, Zheng Qinwen, Matthew Ebden, John Peers, Jasmine Paolini, Sara Errani, Kateřina Siniaková, Tomáš Macháč, Tokito Oda, Yui Kamiji, Manami Tanaka, Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, Niels Vink, and Sam Schroder.
Photos were taken throughout the tournament by leading photographers including José Luis Pérez, Geoff Lowe, Corinne Dubreuil, Antoine Couvercelle, and Daniel Kopatsch. The introduction is written by French author Bastien Fachan.
